About the Authors
Rhonda Brown is a pen name for Rhonda Feltman and Linda Brown. Rhonda and Linda have been friends for almost 30 years. They talked often about writing a book together, and after they both retired they realized their wish by writing The Journal. The Journal is the first Rhonda Brown book in a trilogy about the Luna family. Their second book, In Her Eyes, was published in 2011, and Just Call Me Sara, their third and last book of the trilogy, in September of 2012.
Rhonda Feltman, nee Luna, was born in 1951 in Bisbee, Arizona, a third generation Arizonian. Her family has been involved in ranching, farming, and mining in southern Arizona since it was a territory. Rhonda worked at Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon Missile Systems for almost 25 years, during which time a major portion of her job was writing proposals and ‘how to’ manuals. Rhonda currently lives in the Santa Rita Mountains outside of Sonoita, Arizona with her son, Tyler, and her husband of over 40 years, Steve.
Linda Brown moved to Tucson, Arizona at the end of 1969, so considers herself to be practically a native. She worked for Tucson Newspapers Inc. for seven years before going to work at Hughes Aircraft, where she and Rhonda met at in the early 1980’s. They became immediate friends, a friendship that has strengthened over the years. She has been married to the love of her life, Roger, for 24 years, and in addition to writing the Luna trilogy with Rhonda, is raising her granddaughter, Ali, and two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Bailey and Maddie.
As local southern Arizona authors, Rhonda and Linda are available for book readings, discussions, and other public events.
