We did it! The final book in the Luna Family trilogy, Just Call Me Sara, is now available. We really enjoyed writing it, and hope everyone who kept asking when it would be published enjoys it as well.
It is sad to say goodbye to Sam and her family and friends, but our next venture is already in the works. We decided we would do a single novel this time. It should be less time-consuming without having to continually check facts already published in the previous volumes of the trilogy in order to keep everything straight. Rhonda and I agree it will be awhile before we attempt another trilogy.
We have both been doing some traveling lately. Rhonda and her family visited several states in the western U.S. on a long "camping" trip, putting lots of miles on their RV. She is now ensconced in the cabin she and her husband purchased last year in the White Mountains, and is enjoying the cooler weather. Tucson is very hot this time of the year, so I envy her the change in climate.
My husband and I have been all over in the past few months: Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Illinois and Ireland. It was our first trip there, and it was beautiful. So green, and very friendly people everywhere we visited. We found Dublin and Cork to be too large for our taste, preferring the smaller Kilkenny, Kensale, Waterford and Galway. Did lots of sightseeing, including the Ring of Kerry and the Cliffs of Moher. So beautiful.
We'll be staying home for awhile, so will be deep in our next novel. Will let you know when it's nearing completion.
Rhonda and I want to thank all of our family and friends who have so generously supported our efforts, and have showered us with praise and congratulations on our writing style. We love hearing your kind words, and hope to hear more when you have finished reading Just Call Me Sara.
Til then, we'll keep writing and hope you keep reading. Let us hear from you.
Linda
Thanks to all you who came to our book signing for In Her Eyes. It was a great success and it was great seeing all of you.
Rhonda and Linda
Yes. We have finally completed In Her Eyes! It is available as an e-book on Kindle. Soft-covers will be available soon CreateSpace and thru Linda and myself.
Hi there. Linda Brown here. Just wanted to add my thanks to Rhonda's to everyone who has been so gracious and kind in their praise of The Journal. We had so much fun writing it, and even more while writing the second book in the trilogy, In Her Eyes. So many people have asked when it will be available and have asked if there is any way we could HURRY! From your mouth to God's ears, as they say. We're almost finished with the first draft, and if all goes smoothly we hope to have it in print within a few months.
We're planning to attend the Festival of Books at the U of A on March 12 and 13. If you've never attended the event, it's well worth the time. Just wish there was a way to see and do everything -- talk to authors, take some workshops to learn more about how to perfect our writing skills, find out how other authors got started in the business, where they get their ideas, etc. So much to do, so little time.
Speaking of time, it's time to get back to the keyboard. The book won't finish itself. Wish there were more hours in the day or that my house would clean itself, the groceries would find themselves into my house and into the cupboards, and the dogs would walk themselves.
Again, thanks so much to everyone who has taken the time to write or call and tell us how much they have enjoyed The Journal. Keep watching our website for possible book signings in the future. Have a great day!
We've been getting lots of great reviews. We've added new information on the Authors tab. Also we're hoping to have another book signing in Tucson soon. Come see us at the Tucson Festival of Books, March 12th and 13th.
Hi. We're asking all of our readers to write reviews on The Journal. You can review it on Barnes and Noble, Borders, Amazon, Amazon Kindle, and BookFinder4U.
Thanks a bunch!
Rhonda and Linda
Hi. I’m the Rhonda in Rhonda Brown. Linda (the Brown) and I are so excited to finally - after almost two years of writing - launch our first book The Journal. And while we really hope you enjoy The Journal we know you are going to love the next two books in our sequel, In Her Eyes and Just Call Me Sara.
Our friends and family who have read The Journal keep begging us for In Her Eyes. They are anxious to find out what happens next to the Luna family.
The Journal just happened. It wasn’t the book that Linda and I started out writing. But as we developed our main character, Sam, her family kept getting in our way. After our sisters read the first 20 or so chapters they both encouraged us to make The Journal into its own book. So there you go…
Linda is on vacation with a group of our girl friends and my husband, Steve, and I are getting ready to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. (If you’re doing the math, I was 9 when we got married.) Anyway, see you next week.
Love ya,
Rhonda
